"No Pebble connected" persistent notifications

$

Hello,

With the latest update for the Android app (v2.1) there has been a change in the behaviour of the persistent Pebble notification. Before this update, if I turned off bluetooth on the phone, the notification would disappear. Since this last update, it does not. It sticks there even if the bluetooth is off. I don't know if the specs have changed or it's a bug, but please consider reverting it to the old behaviour. The new one is incredibly annoying.

I know I can make the notification go away by going to the pebble app info and unticking "show notifications", but that's not acceptable either since then the app can't show, when the bluetooth is on whether the pebble is connected or not. If necessary I can clarify further the old behaviour.

Thanks in advance,

I can't get Skype to notify me of calls or messages. I believe it did at first, but somehow it stopped working.

Bluetooth Car System - Call Quality Issues

Hello

I've had a Pebble for over a year.

Recently I got an iPhone 6,  I previously had an iPhone 5s.

I am finding that if my Pebble is paired to my phone,  there is substantial interference with my bluetooth car system with severe call quality degradation.   If I disconnect my Pebble from my phone,  call quality immediately improves.

Since the recent upgrade to IOS8,  both my iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 have had the same issue.

Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks

Gavin

Android - Won't auto reconnect after having Pebble Steel powered down.

Every time I power off my Pebble Steel, it won't reconnect. My Samsung S4 app shows "connecting to pebble". The only way I can get it to reconnect is to turn Bluetooth on my phone OFF then turn it back on and it connects almost instantly. This appears to be consistent. I have started turning my Pebble Steel off at night to conserve the battery and every morning I go through this same routine.

Any advice?

Missing notifications

Hello everyone, I have been using a third party application to show all kind of notifications on my pebble since I got it about one year ago, but today I found that such feature was added to the official app, so I decided to try it out. The problem is that not all notifications are shown on the pebble (Whatsapp, emails are not shown, even if they are checked in the list from the pebble application). All settings are as stated in the guides (they were correct even before checking them), but the problem is still there. I have a "first version" pebble and my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.3. Pebble firmware version is 2.8.1.
Not a big deal, in the worst case I will reinstall the app I was using, but I'd like to solve this problem.

Hi, when I reply to an incoming SMS with a templated reply, I receive a 'message failed' notification. But the SMS reply has actually been successful. Initially, this all worked fine but the error now seems to happen with every reply. I'm android/lollipop/htc one m7/pebble steel. Any ideas?

Original Post:

My Pebble finally arrived (I am in the UK), I downloaded the App, connected the watch, even successfully downloaded an upgrade and another watch face but absolutely nothing appears on the watch face - just a backlight.

Obviously something is working, but not the watch face. Not a very useful watch! Now to see how long I have to wait for a replacement.

After all this time!

All notifications have sms/text icon

Hi guys,

Recently purchased an original Pebble watch and have it all setup. Notifications are coming through nicely from my Nexus 4.

The issue I'm tackling at the moment and can't seem to figure out is all notifications are being tagged in the notification list with the SMS/Text icon. So when an email (or any other notification) comes in they are all getting the same little icon beside them. I've watched YouTube videos of people scrolling through their notifications are you can see email icons, facebook ones etc...

So on my notification list when you scroll down through past ones they all look like text messages because of the icon.

Apps/Faces Installed:
ESPN
Morpheuz
DIGITTMMORE

Pebble Firmware: v2.9
Phone: Nexus 4 (v5.01)

I'm sure I'm missing something simple, thanks for any help.

I use a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini with Android 4.1.2 and Notifier Pebble.
Since the last firmware update my watch no longer vibrates on blue tooth disconnect.
I've checked through all the settings and can't see one for vibrate on disconnect. I'm sure there used to be one?

Pebble unable to pair due to "incorrect PIN or password"

Hi pebble community

I've been really excited to finally get a Pebble Watch, but I have spent the last 2 hours trying to get it to connect with my Galaxy s5 and I have had no luck.

Every time I try to pair it says it is unable to connect with the pebble due to incorrect PIN or password. I've tried to do all the steps I have found on here and nothing has worked.

Help? Please?!

Connection frustration

Hi - After Googling and searching the forums for a number of weeks I am stuck and wondering if anyone else can offer advice. The issues I am having since the update before V2.9 firmware (assuming V2.8?) is that the connection on my Pebble has broken. It used to be reasonably stable and auto connect if disconnected but not now. My full symptoms are:
1) No auto reconnection (does reconnect after a reboot of phone or watch though - if the pairing is there - see point 3)
2) Disconnect 3 or 4 times a day when the phone has certainly not been out of range (i.e. watch on wrist, phone in shirt pocket type distance, can even disconnect when both are directly next to each other overnight literally inches apart)
3) As least once a day disconnects and will not even manual reconnect through the app, instead I get a pairing notification but no pairing window. On checking the phones bluetooth settings the pebble is not there, but other bluetooth devices are and are working. Only way to reconnect is then to delete the pairing on the pebble and re-pair from the bluetooth settings of the phone.

Obviously point 3 is the most annoying and is currently turning my view of Pebble from "Great" to more of a "Great but..." if asked...

To try and fix this I have tried the following in some cases multiple times:

1) Moved from Cyanogenmod 11 to Paranoid Android as it's supposed to have a better Bluetooth stack from a couple of posts I found - No change other than it being stable and without connection issues for the first 2 or 3 days.
2) Factory reset the phone 2 or 3 times - No change other than it being stable and without connection issues for the first 2 or 3 days.
3) Reset the Pebble - No change seen
4) Done a full remove app reinitialisation type set-up like what happens when you first turn on the Pebble by starting with 3 buttons pressed (instructions on this site somewhere) - No change other than it being stable and without connection issues for the first 2 or 3 days.
5) Reduced the apps on the Pebble to the bare minimum (one at a time in case it was an app issue) - no change but after removing Canvas there was a couple of days of stabilty but not sure if this was related or just by chance as the symptoms then returned.
6) Have tried toggling BT on both the phone and the watch - No change

As such I really am at a loss to what this could be other than a problem with either the last couple of firmwares or the app updates that seemed to accompany them, had hoped that v2.9 would fix this but that is not the case. On checking the BT settings when it's connected everything looks OK the watch is there showing its name, the only things that differs from my headsets and BT radio setup is the underlying menu but as the Pebble is not an audio device that is to be expected and there never has been an icon next to the name where headsets have a little headset but I am assuming this is fine?

Any advice appreciated as it is a great device when it's connected...

Android Wear doesn't connect?

I was so excited about the new Pebble update. Downloaded the beta version of the app and updated the Pebble as well. When I launch the Android Wear app, it lists my Pebble as a watch, but tapping it just leads to an endless loop of 'connecting'. Anyone else have this problem? Am I doing something wrong?

No notifications at all - Pebble 2.6, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active (Android 4.4.2)

My new Pebble worked just fine for a day--I was merrily getting notifications. Now, a day later, I am getting none whatsoever. The test notification function works fine (from the Pebble app support menu); the music controls function as well. The Accessibilty setting for Pebble is set to ON. I have tried forgetting the Bluetooth connection on both phone and watch. I have factory reset the watch. The only thing I haven't tried is factory reset of my Galaxy.

Any help would be appreciated!

Chris

Update: I had been using hello for my SMS messaging, and cloudmagic for my mail. I had disabled Gmail. I set things back to their defaults and now I'm getting notifications on the Pebble.

Need some help....
My pebble is diconnecting from my phone almost everytime my phone goes to sleep mode. It wont auto connect. Have to manually connect it through the app and by switching on/off the BT. But minutes later disconnects again. I have tried resetting.everything possible. Redownloading the app, factory reset, recovery mode ext... I've had the watch for several months and never had a problem until recently. Thought it was an app causing problems so I cleared everything out but still no difference. It just seems like the phone goin to sleep mode has something to do with my problem. But not tech savy enough. Tried recovery mode twice and redownloading the app. Almost ready to give up... Any ideas? Fyi, I have a old HTC inspire running v2.3 the watch is running Fw 1.14.1 and the app is v1.9.6

Re-pairing after leaving bluetooth range of phone

Running an Sprint Evo 4g LTE with HTC Sense (Android 4.1.1 and HTC 3.16.651.3) and Pebble version 1.9.1. The phone uses bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP

Whenever I leave the bluetooth range of my phone and re-enter the area, I have to manually enter the pebble app and re-connect it. If anyone has any suggestions or steps to fix it, I would be quite grateful. Also let me know if there is any other useful troubleshooting info I could give.

Thanks!
